Far-right activist Tommy Robinson has allegedly left the UK following an incident at London’s St Pancras station that led to a police investigation.
A British holidaymaker claims to have seen Robinson boarding a flight to Tenerife just hours after the alleged assault. Footage circulating online appears to show Robinson near the scene at St Pancras, where a man lies unconscious on the floor. In the clip, someone can be heard urgently calling for help as Robinson walks around the area before leaving as staff attend to the victim.
Shortly after, new videos posted to TikTok seem to show Robinson boarding an airport shuttle and undergoing a passport check at the airport. One clip is captioned, “Spotted Tommy Robinson getting on my flight this morning.” Further footage from the same TikTok user suggests Robinson later arrived in Tenerife.
The British Transport Police confirmed the man injured in the incident has since been discharged from hospital. They also stated that the suspect, identified as a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire, boarded a flight out of the UK early this morning.
Robinson has not issued a formal statement regarding the incident but has reshared videos online suggesting he acted in self-defence.
In a statement on Tuesday, police said:
“BTP were called to St Pancras station just after 8.40pm on July 28 following reports of an assault. Officers attended and a man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”
They added:
“Overnight the investigation has continued and officers have made arrest enquiries. It has been confirmed that the suspect left the country, and efforts are ongoing to locate him and bring him in for questioning.”
