Queen Camilla and France's First Lady came together on Wednesday to attend the inaugural award ceremony of the Entente Littéraire Prize. The event took place at the French Ambassador’s
residence in London, where the short-listed books and their authors were officially announced.
The celebrated works included Thieves by Lucie Bryon, Men Don’t Cry by Faïza Guène, Jefferson by Jean-Claude Mourlevat, Par Le Feu by Will Hill, Les Etincelles Invisibles by Elle McNicoll, and Le Livre Bleu De Nebo by Manon Steffan Ros.
The Entente Littéraire Prize, first introduced during The King and Queen’s State Visit to France in September 2023, recognizes outstanding contributions to young adult literature by French and British authors. Aimed at fostering a love for reading among teenagers and young adults, the prize was established to "celebrate the pleasure of reading."
Both women brought their distinctive styles to the occasion. The French First Lady donned a cornflower blue coat dress featuring sharp lapels and structured shoulders, while Queen Camilla opted for a grey tweed dress and blazer, accessorized with a brooch and a black clutch bag.
